Studies in John's Gospel

325 pages - Verse-by-verse

I have read and studied John's Gospel many times throughout my life.  But this thorough study blindsided me with the real difference between John's Gospel and the other three Gospels.  The big difference is that Matthew, Mark and Luke concentrate on Jesus' ministry in the Galilee.  What makes John's Gospel so different is that everything John recorded either leads up to, reports on what happened, or immediately follows one of Jesus' trips to Jerusalem.  85% of what John records is not found in any of the other Gospels because of this very emphasis.

Ch 1 - Introduction to John's Gospel
Ch 2 - Introduction to the Real Jesus (1:1-34)
Ch 3 - The First Passover (Pesach) (1:35-4:54)
Ch 4 - Pentecost (Shavuot) (5:1-47)
Ch 5 - The Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) (6:1-8:59)
Ch 6 - The Feast of Dedication (Hanukkah) (9:1-10:42)
Ch 7 - The Second Passover (Pesach) (11:1-17:26)
Ch 8 - Jesus Fulfills Passover and Firstfruits (18:1-21:25)

Also in this study we will see a change to our Scriptures which was inserted into the original text by Eusebius (Pope Pious I) who served only four months in 309 AD.
He inserted one whole verse into John's Gospel, which is in our Bible's today.  It was placed there to strengthen the Pope's claim to be the Vicar of Christ, with all of the authority of Christ on earth; even authority to change the Scriptures.
